The Academy Awards is unquestionably one of the most-watched fashion events on the annual calendar. Since the first ceremony 89 years ago, the Oscars have not only been known to honour the best films, but are gazed upon by millions of viewers to see the contenders for best dressed.

An elegant red carpet look is essential for all, throughout the years there have been an abundance of glamorous designs. Whether Hollywood’s finest win or lose, they all have their chance to be memorable. The Oscars are now televised in over 200 countries and social media will flourish with the gowns both good and bad, in a matter of hours.
